There aren't many records out there on Isabella Quill, a Sinixt woman. But her family, including great-granddaughter Marguerite Ensminger, recalled her as a Medicine Woman who was believed to have healed many people in the Kelly Hill area. She carried with her a wooden pipe that she only used for ceremonial purposes, believing the smoke helped carry her prayers up to the Creator.
Brian Quill says her maiden name was Herron and that she was married to Alex Quill. They had a daughter, Adeline (Quill) Smith, and one son, Jerome Edward Quill.
