On Aug. 7, 1949, Howard and Peggy Fleming mailed out a postcard to Howard's mother Ruth. The image depicted is from Twin Lakes' Winding Pine Trail nearly 70 years ago. The couple apparently enjoyed traveling. Their obituaries (Howard in 2017, Peggy in 2016) ended with "Here today, gone to Maui" and "Aloha Peggy, We'll See You Soon."
