Oct. 14, 2007: Cecilia Ann (Alex) Ferguson obituary

 FERGUSON, Cecelia Ann (Alex), a lifetime resident of Inchelium, WA, passed away on October 12, 2007 in Inchelium at the age of 65. She was born on October 1, 1942 in Inchelium to Mose P. and Millie Dick (Francis) Alex. Cecilia was a very hard worker and worked at the Tribal Clinic in Inchelium from 1978 until her retirement in 2004. She got an award for her dedication to the clinic and for her excellent attendance. Cecilia was one of the last full-blooded Arrow Lakes Indians of the Colville Tribe. She was very artistic and could dress up any object with her special designs and beadwork or painting, including shirts, vests, belt buckles and clocks. Cecilia also enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren to powwows and also to the Inchelium Sobriety Campout. She often found herself in charge of the cooking. She was also very good at fixing anything mechanical that broke around the house. She was an expert at finding the best bargain at many second hand stores. Cecilia's collections included classic cars and any thing that had to do with Elvis. Cecilia was very well respected in her community and was willing to help any body who needed a helping hand. All who knew and loved her will miss her infectious and loving personality. She is survived by her daughters Sherry K. Boyd, Inchelium; Valerie Ferguson, Inchelium; Brenda Lemery, Inchelium; and son Larry Ferguson, Inchelium; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Inchelium Community Center with the burial following at Hall Creek Cemetery.
