Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith and Mrs. Williams, who have been visiting the Howe family, leave this week for southern Oregon. They drove from Akron, Ohio in their car, averaging about 100 miles a day.
Mr. Nickens of Chewelah has been in Covada for a few days. He lost two cows last week from alfalfa bloat.
John Cameron sold his place at the Covada boat landing to W.M. Smith.
Bert Parmeter of Inchelium was calling on his Covada friends last week. He expects to begin work for the new merchant, Mr. Woodward, who has purchased Coleman stock of goods at Inchelium.
Mr. Anderson and Mr. Young are at work on the Montana mining property for Mr. Pea.
