Although the Red Cross apportionment for Ferry County was only $1,000 the community of Inchelium raised $537.50. Inchelium was not given a quota but was asked to gather such funds as she could. Ed Moore had charge of the "gathering" and everybody got in and boosted, the Red Cross raising $172 at a dance and sale, and the willing givers of the community showing the patriotism of the community.
