Seven autos loaded with 27 Colville boosters made the trip to Inchelium, Meteor and Covada last Sunday, advertising Yep-Kanum.

Dr. LB Harvey - HD Williams

Dinner was at the hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Moore, three miles west of Inchelium. Mr. Moore and Postmaster RR Coleman of Meteor making the trip from Colville with the booster crowd. Everybody on the reservation was glad to see the Colville visitors, and extended every hospitality. The Colville people were also glad to see this fertile territory.
Most of the cars made the trip over the old Addy-Gifford road, the new state road not being completed.
At Inchelium, the Rogers car suffered misfortune, and was laid up there until repairs could be brought. Its occupants were put into other cars. While going up the bank from the ferry, the cadeviator crank of the car broke its windlass, which allowed the thermostat to drop down into the ash pan -- which might be said is most fatal to any car's performance. Doc Harvey and Rexall Kerr applied their quick aid to the injured, and the car was pulled under a shed to await future endeavors.
Chas. Zalesky displayed his native ability by catching a young rabbit by hand, but he was allowed to return with the bunch.
The greater part of the Colville band was left cooling their heels in the Columbia garage, but the six pieces which accompanied the trip rendered music which was sweet to the savage ear, and was even complimented by several whites.
The speedometer showed 34 miles to Gifford and a total of 94.5 on the trip.
