Rosary was said for Thomas Fred "Mannie" Carson on Wednesday at St. Michael's Hall in Inchelium, Wash. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Michael's Mission in Inchelium followed by a graveside service at the Hall Creek Cemetery in Inchelium.
Danekas Funeral Chapel of Colville is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carson, a member of the Colville Eagles Aerie, died Monday at age 69.
He was born in Impach, Wash., and attended school at the Chemawa Mission near Salem, Ore. He also attended school in DeSmet, Idaho.
Mr. Carson joined the Marine Corps at age 17 and served in the South Pacific during World War II.
After his discharge in 1945, he was returned to Inchelium and worked as a cat skinner in the logging industry.
He married Helen Day in 1965.
Survivors include his wife, at the home; two daughters, Tyra Moses of Wellpinit, and Elaine Gruber of Omak; a stepson, Floyd Harris of Colville; a stepdaughter, Juanita Bronson of Colville; a sister, Julia Woodward of Elmer City; two brothers, Butch Carson of Wilbur and Don Carson of Inchelium; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
