Oct. 2, 1936: Salable status for Indian lots

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 - Secretary Ickes issued an order today restoring all undisposed of vacant lots within the townsites of Omak and Inchelium, on the Colville Indian reservation, to salable status.

Under orders issues in 1934 the secretary held the lots in a state of temporary withdrawal, pending decision by the Colville tribal council as to their disposition.

The council, April 27, 1936, voted to restore the lands to salable status. The reservation superintendent and Indian affairs commissioner later concurred.
