June 23, 1927: Columbia River is down a foot

INCHELIUM - The Columbia River has fallen about a foot in the last few days, and the ferry at this place will be running again in a few days. The Daisy ferry, four miles north of here, has not been closed down during the high water.

Harvey Ferris, a mining man from Spokane, is here looking after his interests in the Stray Dog Mine in the Covada mining district. He has had a force of men at work for several months. This is a silver-lead proposition.
