Dec. 3, 2000: David Tonasket running the ball in the 34-30 state championship victory versus Odessa. "Sweetness" helped the Hornets win 10-straight games after dropping the season-opener to Odessa, rushing for more than 1,600 yards on the season. He pounded his way to 108 yards on 23 carries in the big game, and added 95 yards receiving. The playoff game before, he racked up 213 rushing yards versus Neah Bay. After the title game, he said, "I wish I could have run for more yards, but we knew they were going to key on me." David also broke up Odessa's final passing attempt of the game as time expired.
