1955: Man killed by lightning in 1955

Delbert at 18 playing football for Inchelium

A bolt of lightning struck and killed Delbert Duffner, 24, when he sought shelter under a tree during an electrical storm.

Duffner enrolled in the Navy out of high school and was buried in Kewa Cemetery.
