There are four candidates for County Commissioner from this, the third district, known to this office. They are George A. Peone, F.E. Stannard and Ed Moore on the democratic ticket and James E. Fritch on the republican ticket. These candidates are all from the Inchelium side of the district.
George A. Peone is a large dairy rancher at Impach, he has 840 acres of patented land, is very popular, a heavy taxpayer and a strong candidate. F.E. Stannard is also a dairy rancher. His ranch is on Wilmont Creek, he is a gentleman of keen interest in county affairs and would be a credit to the county if elected.
The other democrat running for commissioner in this district is Ed Moore. Everybody in these parts knows Ed Moore of Inchelium. He is one of the party wheel-horses of the county, honest and deserving.
James E. Fritch on the republican ticket is the manager of the Grange store at Impach, well schooled in business and of varied experiences. He served long in the American Navy and held officer's commission when he resigned. The most regrettable feature in his case is that Mr. Fritch is not on our party ticket.
