Funeral services for Mrs. Clarence D. (Alice J.) Shaffer, 84, of Inchelium, Wash., retired schoolteaacher, will be at 1 Saturday at Bastian Funeral Home in Colville. Burial will be in Colville.
Mrs. Shaffer, who had lived in Inchelium 52 years and had taught 33 years in the Inchelium area, died Tuesday in a Spokane hospital.
She is survived at home by her husband, temporarily in a nursing home here; four daughters, Mrs. Claude C. (Dorothy) Carlander, Mrs. Harold R. (Margaret) Knight and Mrs. Lawrence E. (Evelyn) Maly, all of Spokane, and Mrs. Ervin E. (Edna) Gardner, Selah, Wash; two sons, Claude C., Inchelium, and Howard S., Spokane, 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Shaffer is also survived by two brothers, John and Marion Judd, both of Inchelium.
