Nov. 25, 1922: Impach and Vicinity

Snow fell on the south half of the reservation Sunday. It now looks like winter is here.

Mrs. B.A. McDonnell of Kewa was in Impach last Wednesday shopping at the Community store.

Recently a new bridge was built across Stensgar Creek, and a new piece of road was made at the approach. This work was done under the supervision of A. Gallan. It has been badly needed for some time. Several men from Inchelium and vicinity turned out and made a new road around the old Meusy Grade, which was undermined by seepage from the ditch of the electric light company of Inchelium. We now have a much better grade than the old one.

Wednesday, Nov. 15, F.P. Waters of Spokane organized a new grange at Covada. Twenty-three members joined the new charter.

Hall Creek grange held a large meeting at No. 4 school house Saturday night and elected officers for the new year.

Mrs. Wm. Wright of Nez Perce Creek was in Impach Monday.

Miss Cora Sandvig of Kewa was shopping at the Community store Wednesday.

Many deer hunters have been in the hills but few have brought home any deer.
