John S. Judd, 82, well known farmer of the Newaukum valley, died at the home of his son, Marion F. Judd, three miles south of Chehalis, early this morning. He was born in Wisconsin April 1, 1851, and came to Lewis County 31 years ago. Death followed a short illness from an acute attack of appendicitis. Surviving relatives include three sons, Marion F. Judd of route 3, Chehalis; Royal B. Judd and John Judd of Inchelium, Ferry County; three daughters, Mrs. C.D. Shaffer of Inchelium, Mrs. B.A. Hill and Mrs. Ida M. Judd of Chehalis; a sister, Mrs. John Monson of Lake Alfred, Fla.; a brother, G.H. Judd of Los Angeles, and 21 grandchildren. The body was removed to Boone's mortuary.
