Jan. 6, 1986: Inchelium falls to Hunters

Inchelium 53, Hunters 65

The Lions flirted with a blowout through most of this Panorama League tilt, leading by as many as 20 points in the second half.

Hunters, which led by 10 points in the first half, threw up 25 more shots than the Hornets, hitting just 30 percent.

Inchelium shot a solid 50 percent from the field to stay with the 4-0 Lions.

"We shot horrendous for us," Hunters coach Jeff Miller said. "Our good shooters were putting the ball up and shooting horribly. We failed to capitalize on our opportunities."

Brett Kieffer tossed in 18 points to lead the Lions. Todd Lemas added 11.

Dave Stensgar and Gene Phillips tossed in 18 and 16 points, respectively, to lead the Hornets. Gary Clark added 12.

On the girls side, Candy Holford had 13 for the Hornets (1-2) in a 60-27 loss.
