-Republic and Inchelium citizens dedicate Hall Creek link
REPUBLIC - There was an excursion of citizens to Inchelium on Sunday via the Hall Creek road, returning up the Columbia by the improved Kettle Falls road, celebrating the completion of the new Hall Creek Road, which is the shortest route from Republic to Spokane. It is estimated that the trip may be made in seven hours of easy driving.
The road was completed by the cooperation of the commissioners of Ferry county and the forestry service, 12.4 miles having been constructed this year. There are four ways to go to Spokane from Republic, via Keller, via Grand Forks, via Hall Creek and via Sherman Creek, the two latter being shortest.
The party was met some distance this side of Inchelium by a delegation of citizens of that place in cars, who escorted their guests to the town.
