1960s: Inchelium Hornets -- Strong Contender for Single Berth

 

The Hornets of Inchelium are strong contenders for the one spot left in district play that opens next Wednesday at Cheney. Inchelium won their first game in Panorama Tournament play Friday, beating Hunters. Saturday they lost to Wellpinit in an overtime period. Tonight they meet Cusick at Springdale at 9:30 p.m. Winner of this game will meet Saturday and that winner goes to district. The loser tonight is eliminated. Inchelium has been a surprise team, starting slow at the first of the season, they came forward to win their northern division portion of the league. The team contains three seniors, of which two are starters.
