The Columbia river has risen 10 feet in the last week, and is still rising with the prospect of going much higher. There is not much danger of any damage being done in this section.
The July 4 celebration committee is making preparations for the biggest and best celebration ever held at this place. Alex Covington is general manager and J.D. Jones, secretary-treasurer.
